Day 20 Snow Lake

Today Pat, Eeyore and I finished the Gila river, eventually climbing up to Snow Lake. A trail angel was camped at the campground there and offered us sodas and water. It was a bit early for quitting so we went a few more miles up a canyon where we are currently camping beside a small, bubbling creek.  Natural sound conditioning!

Took a nice break in the morning sun here to warm my frozen feet

I had another bought of the dizzies about mid-morning. I am suspicious it is my blood pressure medications which I take in the morning.  I’m going to try cutting back or eliminating them entirely tomorrow.  My thinking is that because I’ve lost so much weight my blood pressure is way down and the meds are just making it worse? We shall see.

I saw a huge heron or a pterodactyl or something today.  I also saw another snake.  My phone seems to be working well so I got rid of the rice.  Getting my phone back is a huge relief.

I’m a bit concerned about the food situation.  I am going to have to initiate rationing if I am to last 3 more days when we will go into Reserve. Hmm, maybe I shouldn’t have got rid of the phone rice.
